I actually just purchased a newletter mod for one of my sites because I thought it would be a great idea to rekindle some interest in the site.

Still searching for a nice template, but once I get everything together I hope to send out a monthly newsletter.

Thanks

Sue and Martin, Thanks! Newsletters can be such an easy way to reach out to members with information if you don't try to make them too complicated, so I wanted to help people get started.

Great article. I am looking at writing monthly newsletters for Female Forum - it's something I really need to place more of a priority on, and this article has given me the motivation I need to get cracking on it.

I love the format/layout guidance - especially the 'member spotlight' point; critical for an online community newsletter!

Thanks!

Some excellent pointers, and a great example of how a newsletter becomes an extension of a community instead of an add on, or afterthought.
