For anyone interesting in learning more about what I am doing at Compiere, you can read the press release issued today. Way cool … I’ve never been the subject of a press release before!

Congratulations, Dawn! Sounds like a really fun job.
Well..I wish you all the luck with the new job..it seems you’ll need it.
Compiere has a history of ‘community denial’…. maybe you should spend a little time in reading the posts on sourceforge ( not only for compiere – also for comxe, compilo and adempiere projects) and red1.org to get an image of what you have to ‘fix’.
But I’m afraid it may be too little, too late.
Anonymous,
Believe it or not, I actually knew what I was getting into before I took the job. I spent a bunch of time on SourceForge (Compiere & fork projects) looking through the archives, talking to industry friends who had worked closely with Compiere, and talking to the company executives and board about the community issues. This will probably be one of my most challenging jobs, but I am excited about the opportunity to help.
